Technique: Ink, Spray, Smush
For this technique you need to take two pieces of glossy paper(cut to the size you need) and drop two or three drops from each of the different color of ink refills on one piece of the glossy paper. Then spray two or three squirts of water on the drops of refills. Then spray your blank piece of glossy paper with the water. Then lay the two pieces on top of each other and mash it together until the two pieces or covered in the ink. No two pieces will ever look the exact same. After it is covered good, pull them apart and wipe across the top of paper with a paper towel, this is to take off the excess ink. Sometimes this part can be very messy. Have plenty of paper towels on hand and maybe come gloves. Let the pieces dry. Then stamp your floral stamp with versa mark on the glossy paper. Cover with black embossing powder and heat with heat tool. Then cut the floral out with sissors. You can do the same with the other piece or just use it for another project. You can also use it just for a background.
The base card is cut at 4 1/4" X 11" and scored at 5 1/2". Another piece of rose red is cut 3 1/2" x 3 1/2", So Saffron is 3 5/8" x 3 5/8" and 1 1/2" x 4 1/4". The use the eyelet border punch on the 1 1/2" x 4 1/4".
Have fun!!

Soot Technique
Stamp Set: Embace Life, Rough Texture Jumbo Roller
Paper: Basic Black, Kraft, Glossy White
Ink: Basic Black, Whisper White
Accessories: Silver Brads, Candle, Spray Sealer
Instructions:
You need the glossy white card stock and a candle. Have the shiny side of the card stock facing the flame of the candle. Keep it moving over the candle and checking it for how much soot is on it. Please be careful not to burn yourself or catch the paper on fire. Just keep checking until you have the right about of soot you want on the paper. It doesn't have to be all black, leave some white ares. Keep fingers off the side that the soot is on. Take your image stamp and press into the soot. If making more than one, clean you stamp between each time. The soot is on the stamp set so you need to clean for the next image on to the soot. Then take you spray sealer and spray little on the soot piece. Just make sure all of it is covered. If not the soot will rub off. Let dry and adhere to your card. Each piece will look different. Try this techique with different stamp set.

Tree for all Seasons Stamp set
Black Ink
SU Markers, Watercolor Crayons, or Pencils
1 3/8" Circle Punch & Scallop Circle Punch

Step 1:
Print a Yearly Calendar...go to:hhttp://www.printfree.com/Calendar_files/Yearly/2011printable.htm Right Click on the calendar ; select Print Preview Go to the “Shrink Down” drop down menu, select 80% Print onto Whisper White Cardstock.
Step 2: Score the following pieces:
Cut Black Cardstock 5 ½ x 8 ½” and Score at 4 ¼ “ ( just like you would for a cardbase)
Cut Black Cardstock (4) 5 x 1 5/8”
Punch (4) Black Scallops
Cut 4 pieces of Cardstock ; coordinating Designer Paper:
Cardstock: 5 ¼ x 4”
Designer Paper: 5 x 2
Cut Calendar strips (finished size should be 4 7/8 x 1 ½” each)
For each “season” complete the following steps:
Adhere DP onto the coordinating colored cardstock.Adhere the black matting to the white calendar strip. Adhere the matted calendar strip to the colored cardstock (the bottom edge of the black mat should be approx 3/8” from the bottom of the colored cardstock..to allow room for holes that will be punched).
Adhere Black Scallop above calendar strip.
Stamp & color image.
Punch out with 1 3/8” circle punch.
Place (2) dimensionals (pop dots)behind the image circle & adhere to the black scallop.
Next, you'll want to think about which 2 seasons you want on the outside and on the inside of your calendar then adhere each onto the black calendar base.
For instance, you could put Spring & Summer on the outside, Fall & Winter on the inside. Just make sure your seasons go in sequence.
Use your Cropadile to punch two 1/8” holes (for the ribbon) on the bottom edge of both sides of the calendar (approx 3/8” up from the bottom edge).
Thread gingham ribbon through and tie in a loose knot or bow.
Your done!
